Aliso Viejo, Calif. – (June 13, 2011) – CitizenHawk, a provider of online reputation and brand protection services, has named Jeffrey A. Pullen chairman of its board of directors. Pullen will work closely with CitizenHawk CEO David Duckwitz to guide the company’s short- and long-term strategic direction.
"This is a company at the forefront of a crucial industry," said Pullen. "Companies with a strong online presence, especially the major Internet retailers, increasingly recognize their brands’ vulnerability to typosquatters and others trying to redirect their online traffic. The need to protect intellectual property online has never been greater, so it’s not surprising that more than 100 companies on Internet Retailer’s Top 500 list are already working with CitizenHawk. The growth opportunities here are incredible."
"We look forward to capitalizing on Jeff's in-depth understanding of marketing, finance, operations and M&A," said Duckwitz. “His extensive experience in strategy and execution, particularly for rapidly growing companies in the Internet sector, will play a huge role in our future growth and success.”
Pullen is currently CEO of AudienceScience, Inc., an industry leader in providing audience targeting and data management technology for online marketing. He has previously served as CEO, chief operating officer or chief financial officer for a variety of public and private companies in the Internet sector, including US Search, a people search and public records company; Commission Junction, the world's largest affiliate marketing company; ValueClick, one of the world’s largest integrated online marketing companies; ChemConnect, an Internet-based exchange serving the chemical industry; and IMX Exchange, an Internet-based exchange serving the mortgage industry. He has also been a partner in Coopers & Lybrand's Financial Advisory Services practice.
Pullen received a bachelor’s degree (with distinction) in business administration and accounting from the University of Nebraska, where he was a three-year letterman and starting defensive lineman on the university’s nationally ranked football team.
