Aliso Viejo, Calif – (September 7, 2011) – CitizenHawk, a provider of online reputation and brand protection services, has established an ambitious channel-marketing program and hired industry veteran Edward F. Schandlbauer to oversee it. As director of channels, Schandlbauer will identify prospective channel partners, initiate mutually beneficial relationships and manage those relationships on an ongoing basis.
"We perceive enormous opportunities for North American, European, Asian and Latin American partners able to complement our direct sales programs," said David Duckwitz, CitizenHawk's chief executive officer. "We're thrilled to have someone of Ed’s stature lead that effort."
Schandlbauer, an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), is a well-known online brand protection expert who is frequently asked to speak at industry seminars and conferences. He comes to CitizenHawk from MarkMonitor, Inc., where he was director of solution sales. In that capacity, he influenced some of the company’s most prominent clients in the apparel, automotive, consumer electronics, financial, manufacturing, and retail industries. He says he was attracted by CitizenHawk’s business model, its superior web crawling technology and its unmatched domain recovery capabilities.
"I recognized a fantastic opportunity to join an up-and-coming business that is already making waves in the online brand protection field,” Schandlbauer said. “I’m especially excited to help CitizenHawk create a powerful channel marketing program. We offer some attractive opportunities for retailers and value-added resellers, especially those in the legal and information security sectors."
Prior to joining Mark Monitor, Schandlbauer was a global account executive in the Digital Brand Management Services unit of VeriSign, Inc., where he helped brand-rich enterprises manage, monitor and expand brand equity in the digital world. He previously was senior manager for strategic accounts and partner-relations manager for the company. Before that, he held a series of positions with Teleglobe International, a subsidiary of Bell Canada Enterprises. Schandlbauer began his career as a senior management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton, where he served on the Worldwide Technology Business National Security Team.
He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, with a minor in foreign affairs, from the University of Virginia.
